Overview

This page describes how to permanently delete your data from Home Med Cabinet, the home medication management app published by Vibe Solutions AI.

Home Med Cabinet is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. The instructions below apply to both platforms unless noted otherwise.

How to delete your data

There are two ways to request data deletion.

Option 1 (Recommended) — From within the app

  1. Open Home Med Cabinet on your device.
  2. Go to Settings (bottom navigation, gear icon).
  3. Scroll down to the Data section.
  4. Tap Delete My Data.
  5. Type the confirmation word shown on screen (this prevents accidental deletion).
  6. Tap Confirm.

The app will:

  • Send a deletion request to our backend server.
  • Permanently delete all your local data (medicines, prescriptions, photos, family members, etc.).
  • Restart in a fresh state.

This entire process is automatic and takes a few seconds.

Option 2 (Alternative) — By email

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email:

  1. Email support@vibe-solutions.ai from any address you have access to.
  2. Subject line: Delete My Data
  3. In the body, include your support code if you can find it (Settings → Help & Support in the app), or any other information that identifies your installation.
  4. We will process the request within 30 days and confirm by reply email.

What data is deleted

When you complete a deletion request, the following data is permanently removed.

On your device (local)

  • All medicines, batches, expiry dates, and locations
  • All prescriptions and attached photos
  • All family members
  • All shopping list items
  • App settings, preferences, and notification rules
  • Encryption keys and device identifier

On our servers (backend)

  • Your anonymous device identifier
  • Any support tickets you submitted
  • Any medicine catalog submissions you contributed (these become anonymous community data and are not personally re-identifiable after device ID deletion)

What data is NOT deleted

  • Aggregated, anonymized statistics — counts and metrics that contain no personal information are retained.
  • Required legal/financial records — if you made a paid subscription purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your purchase records are managed by those platforms (Apple/Google), not by us. To delete those, contact Apple or Google directly.

We complete all deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. In practice, the in-app flow finishes within seconds, and email requests typically complete within a few business days.

Retention period

  • Local data: deleted immediately upon confirmation in the app.
  • Backend data: deletion requests are processed automatically and complete within 30 days. In practice, most deletions complete within a few minutes.
  • Backups: any encrypted backups you previously exported and stored on your own device or cloud storage (.hmcbackup files) are NOT touched by this process — they remain in your possession and you can delete them yourself.
