Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Home Med Cabinet ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. The App is published by Vibe Solutions AI, an independent studio based in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico.

Description of Service

Home Med Cabinet is a medication management application available on the Apple App Store (iOS/iPadOS) and Google Play Store (Android). The App is designed to help you track your medications and prescriptions, monitor expiry dates, create shopping lists, organize storage locations by physical location or family member, manage household medication needs, store prescription records, and use text recognition (OCR) to extract information from medicine packages and prescriptions.

The App is available in standard and Premium subscription tiers. Standard users have access to core functionality with certain limitations (such as a limited number of stored prescriptions and on-device text recognition only). Premium subscribers have access to additional features including unlimited prescription storage, enhanced cloud-based text recognition, AI-powered medicine information, and text-to-speech audio. Feature availability and limits may change over time.

Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older. The App is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you are a parent or guardian and discover that a child in your care is using the App without your consent, please contact us at legal@vibe-solutions.ai.

Account and Registration

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal identification to use its features. Your medication and prescription data is stored locally on your device. On iOS, if you have iCloud enabled, your medication inventory data may be synced via Apple iCloud to your other Apple devices. On Android, you may use the local backup/restore feature to transfer data between devices via .hmcbackup files.

Permitted Use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes to:

  • Track and manage your medications and those of your household
  • Monitor medication expiry dates and receive reminders
  • Create and manage shopping lists for medications
  • Organize medication storage locations
  • Store and manage prescription records for your household
  • Use text recognition (OCR) to extract information from medicine packages and prescriptions
  • Use AI-powered features to assist with medication management (Premium)
  • Contribute medicine names, barcodes, and manufacturer information to the shared community catalog

Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the App
  • Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App
  • Distribute, sublicense, lease, rent, or otherwise transfer the App or any rights therein to any third party
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the App
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our services
  • Submit false, misleading, or harmful information to the shared medicine catalog
  • Use the App to collect data about other users or third parties

Subscriptions and Payments

iOS (Apple In-App Purchases)

Premium subscriptions on iOS are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment details. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

Android (Google Play Billing)

Premium subscriptions on Android are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google. We do not receive or store your credit card or payment details. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play app or your Google account settings.

Cross-Platform Subscription Status

Subscription status is verified across platforms through RevenueCat. A Premium subscription purchased on one platform (iOS or Android) does not automatically transfer to the other platform. Each platform's subscription is managed independently through Apple or Google respectively.

Refunds

For iOS: refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. Contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

For Android: refund requests are handled by Google in accordance with their refund policy. Contact Google Play Support.

We do not directly process or issue refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play.

Shared Medicine Catalog

The App allows you to contribute medicine information (name, barcode, and manufacturer data) to a shared community catalog. By submitting such contributions, you grant Vibe Solutions AI a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, display, and distribute the contributed information as part of the shared catalog. Contributions must relate to real medicine products and may not include personal health information. Medicine data you contribute becomes part of an anonymized community database and cannot be deleted once merged into the catalog.

Health and Medical Disclaimer

Home Med Cabinet is an information management tool, not a medical device or healthcare service.

The App is designed to help you organize and track your medications and prescriptions. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. The AI-powered features and text recognition (OCR) features are intended to assist with organizational tasks and general information only — they are not a substitute for professional medical judgment.

Prescription records stored in the App are for your personal reference only and do not replace original prescriptions issued by your healthcare provider. Always retain your original paper or electronic prescriptions as provided by your doctor or pharmacy. Do not rely on the App as your sole record of prescription information.

Text recognition (OCR) results are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed to be accurate. OCR technology may misread, omit, or incorrectly interpret text from medicine packages or prescriptions. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all information extracted by the OCR feature before relying on it. Errors in OCR output — including incorrect medication names, dosages, or instructions — could have serious health consequences if not caught.

AI-generated content (such as Medicine Wiki articles) is generated automatically and is provided for general informational purposes only. AI content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. It is not a substitute for the information provided by your pharmacist, the medication's official prescribing information, or your healthcare provider.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your medications. Do not rely on the App as your sole source of medication information. In case of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided by the App, including its AI and OCR features. You are solely responsible for verifying any information and for all decisions made based on your use of the App.

Backup and Restore (Android)

The Android version of the App allows you to create and restore local backup files (.hmcbackup format). You are solely responsible for the security and storage of backup files you create. Backup files contain your medication data in an unencrypted local format — store them securely on your device. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from backup file corruption, deletion, device loss, or improper handling of backup files.

Service Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the App operational and available. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The App or specific features may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without notice.

Cloud-dependent features (cloud OCR, AI-powered Medicine Wiki, subscription verification) require an internet connection and depend on third-party services (Google Cloud Vision, Anthropic, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Supabase). Availability of these features is subject to the availability of those third-party services.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, content, and branding, is the intellectual property of Vibe Solutions AI and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.

Medicine data contributed to the shared community catalog is licensed to us as described in the Shared Medicine Catalog section above.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee that any data you enter will be preserved in all circumstances — we recommend maintaining your own records of important medication information.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vibe Solutions AI and its owner, employees, or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or property damage arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Vibe Solutions AI for the App or its subscriptions in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vibe Solutions AI from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or any content you submit to the shared medicine catalog.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without notice. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Guadalajara metropolitan area, Jalisco, Mexico, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and version number at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
